Madrid clinch €45m Vinicius deal?

Real Madrid have reportedly clinched a €45m deal to sign 16-year-old Vinicius Junior from Flamengo next summer.

According to Globo Esporte, an official announcement will be made on Monday or Tuesday, with Madrid paying €30m up front and the remaining €15m in instalments once Vinicius arrives.

The Brazilian attracted the attention of several European clubs, including Barcelona, after his seven goals helped Brazil win the Under-17 South American Championship in March.

Compared to the likes of Ronaldinho, Robinho and Neymar, the attacker will be presented at the Santiago Bernabeu after July 12 of next year, given he does not turn 18 until then.

He is expected to stay at Flamengo in the meantime, although Los Blancos may loan him to a European club instead.

Vinicius made his first-team debut for the Rubro-Negro last weekend, appearing for the final 10 minutes of their opening-day draw with Atletico Mineiro.
