Vitolo opens Atleti door?

Vitolo admits “if Sevilla intend to sell me, I’ll accept it”, amidst speculation linking him with Atletico Madrid.

Vitolo scored a brace in Sevilla’s 5-0 victory over Osasuna to round off the season, but Marca reported earlier on Saturday that Atleti would try to sign the winger “at all costs” in the summer, despite the threat of a transfer ban.

“You never know where you’re going to be, although the people here love me very much and my family is happy,” he told BeIN Sports after the game.

“If Sevilla intend to sell me, I’ll accept it. It’s a decision made by two parties and we’ll see, but there’s still nothing.”

However, Sevilla President Jose Castro played down the suggestion that his club would consider selling the player.

“We don’t know anything about that issue, we want to keep our players and buy, not sell,” he told Cadena COPE.
