Juventus are favourites to win the Champions League final and goalkeeper Gianluigi Buffon should win the Ballon d’Or, according to Antoine Griezmann.
The French forward netted a penalty in Atletico Madrid’s 2-1 second leg victory over Los Blancos in the semi final earlier this month, but it wasn’t enough for Diego Simeone’s men, who crashed to a 4-2 aggregate loss.
Griezmann told Cadena Ser’s El Larguero show on Wednesday: "I expect Juventus will win the Champion League and afterwards we should award the Ballon d'Or to [Gianluigi] Buffon.”
The Italian champions have only won the tournament twice in their history and not since 1996, while 39-year-old Buffon has never lifted the crown.
