United not prioritising James – report

Manchester United have been offered Real Madrid playmaker James Rodriguez but aren’t prioritising his signing, according to reports.

ESPN and the Daily Telegraph both report the 25-year-old has been offered to the FA Cup holders but they are pursuing other attacking targets above him.

Atletico Madrid's Antoine Griezmann and a ‘proven goalscorer’ – with reports of Torino’s Andrea Belotti and Everton’s Romelu Lukaku – are said to be the main targets before Jose Mourinho considers a deal for the Colombian international.

The former Monaco and FC Porto playmaker is said to be available in those reports for €60m, while other media outlets in Spain and Colombia are more confident of a deal, stating the selling price is closer to €50m.

Reports on Tuesday suggested the Colombian’s move to Old Trafford will be announced at the conclusion of the season.
