James offered to United?

Real Madrid have offered Manchester United the chance to sign Colombian playmaker James Rodriguez, according to reports.

ESPN states the Red Devils have asked the 25-year-old’s representatives to keep them informed of his situation going into the summer transfer window, with reports he could exit the Bernabeu this summer.

The former FC Porto and Monaco star is said to want more first-team football, with Paris Saint-Germain and Chelsea also sounded out as possible destinations.

Despite limiting playing time this season, James – who is a client of Jorge Mendes, the agent of Jose Mourino – has netted seven goals in his last nine appearances as Zinedine Zidane has rotated his Madrid side over the past month.

One of those goals was an equaliser against Barcelona last month having come off the bench, while the Colombia international has also failed to start in either Champions League clash with Bayern Munich nor in the first leg against Atletico Madrid.
