WBA want Betis defender Piccini

English Premier League side West Bromwich Albion are interested in a move for Real Betis defender Cristiano Piccini (pictured centre), according to reports.

Sky Sport Italia report the 24-year-old has caught the attention of scouts at The Hawthorns, who are soon expected to make their intentions of signing the full-back clear to Los Verdiblancos.

The Italian defender first joined the Andalucians on a loan deal from Fiorentina in 2014 before making his move permanent the following year, although the Florence club have a ‘first preference’ option on re-signing him until the end of June 2017.

Piccini has started 21 La Liga matches for Betis this season, scoring twice and registering three assists, and is thought to be available for upwards of €10m.
