Silva ‘has dream’ of Spain or England

Monaco’s Portuguese playmaker Bernardo Silva has a ‘dream one day’ to play in either Spain or England, he has admitted.

The 22-year-old has become a key figure at the Stade Louis II, helping propel them to the summit of Ligue 1 and to the Champions League quarter finals this season having joined from Benfica for €15m in January 2015.

"For now, I'm feeling very well here in Monaco," Silva told CNN.

"It's my third season in France, but of course all the players want to play in the best leagues. Spain and England are the best, and of course I dream one day to be there."

The Portuguese international has been move heavily linked to a move to the Premier League – he speaks fluent English – but his latest comments are likely to spark interest from a number of leading clubs in Spain.
