Sevilla take appeal to tribunal

Sevilla will appeal their partial stadium ban to a tribunal after the appeals committee of the Royal Spanish Football Federation (RFEF) upheld the decision.

The Europa League holders were punished for chants directed towards former player and Real Madrid captain Sergio Ramos, alongside his club.

“The appeals committee of the Royal Spanish Football Federation has dismissed the appeal filed by Sevilla to avoid the closure of their N11 and N12 sectors of the Gol Norte stands,” read a Sevilla statement.

"Sevilla FC will now appeal to the tribunal to avoid the ban."

The Andalucians have also requested the ban be put on hold to allow their match against Granada to occur before a new appeal was heard.
