Valencia want Leon, Munir

Valencia are readying a move for Osasuna forward Sergio Leon and want talks with Barcelona over the permanent signing of Munir El Haddadi.

Munir has been on loan at Mestalla this season and Sport says Los Che want to take the Spain international on a full-time basis, but don’t want to pay the €12m called for in the loan agreement.

Valencia are said to want to meet as soon as possible with Barcelona to reach a settlement, while Munir has already indicated he would be happy to stay where he is as he’s getting game time previously denied to him at Camp Nou.

A fee of €8m was originally what Valencia wanted stipulated in the contract and Sport suggest that’s what they will try to get Barca to agree to this time.

Leon, meanwhile, would cost no more than €3.5m, it’s thought, when Osasuna’s relegation is confirmed, and it is the low price that most attracts Valencia to him.

His clause currently stands at €15m but that will drop with relegation to €2.5m plus a further fee based on goals and games, which is not expected to exceed €1m.

Espanyol, Real Betis and Levante, and two teams from outside Spain, also have Leon on their agenda, but Valencia feel he would work well with Simone Zaza and Santi Mina.
