Alcacer happy with squad role

Barcelona striker Paco Alcacer has reiterated his happiness with his role at the club despite starting only three league games this season.

The 23-year-old moved to the Camp Nou in summer in a €30m deal from Valencia but has struggled to dislodge the ‘MSN’ attacking trio of Luis Suarez, Lionel Messi and Neymar.

"I'm happy to help the team in any way I can, the coach asked me to come off the bench and that's what I did," Alcacer said after Sunday’s 4-1 victory at Granada, where he netted his third La Liga goal of the campaign.

"Any player in this squad must be prepared to go out and perform.

"Although the pitch was difficult, we played a very professional game and we are looking forward to continuing our form and winning more games."
