Atletico Madrid striker Kevin Gameiro has hailed the impact boss Diego Simeone has had on his own game and mentality.
The French striker has netted 10 goals in 19 starts for Los Rojiblancos since joining from Sevilla this summer and has forged a partnership with compatriot Antoine Griezmann.
“Diego Simeone teaches you a must-win mentality,” explained Gameiro.
“You can see his passion and he transfers it to us before each game. He lives football…he eats football, he sleeps football.
“He’s done some great things since he joined Atletico – I have a lot of respect for him because he started from the bottom and he built this club up and I will hope it lasts a long time.”
