Bellerin deal ‘very difficult’ – Barca

Barcelona are interesting in signing Hector Bellerin but any deal would be ‘very difficult’ according to sporting director Robert Fernandez.

The 22-year-old has been linked to the Camp Nou by both El Mundo Deportivo and Diario Sport, despite signing a new six-year deal with the Gunners in January.

"Of course Hector is a good player but it would be very difficult,” Fernandez told Mundo Deportivo.

"He is well known. He is playing at a great level but there are also other players that have good characteristics.

In regards to other transfer targets such as Paris Saint-Germain midfielder Marco Verratti and Juventus foward Paulo Dybala, Fernandez admitted these deals would be extremely challenging.

"Those players are under contract with their respective clubs," he continued.

"And especially when a player has a long-term contract, it's very difficult.

"We are open to bringing reinforcements, to sign a player, and always have in mind the idea of improving the team, but to improve Barcelona's team, especially our first team, it's very difficult because we have a magnificent side.

"We have to give value to what we have."
