Barcelona have been dealt a blow in their pursuit of Marco Verratti as the midfielder insists he will play for Paris Saint-Germain next season.
Verratti had reportedly lost faith in PSG’s ability to compete for the Champions League after the side’s stunning last-16 elimination by Barca, in turn intensifying links between the Italian and the Blaugrana, who are thought to be in the market for a new playmaker.
Nonetheless, he told Rai Sport after Italy’s 2-0 win against Albania on Friday: “I’m feeling good In Paris.
“It’s a great project and I’ll still be playing for PSG next season.”
