Lucho leaves a legacy – Del Bosque

Former Real Madrid and Spain Coach Vicente Del Bosque believes Luis Enrique will leave a ‘permanent legacy’ of success at Barcelona.

Enrique will be stepping down from the Camp Nou hotseat at the end of the current campaign but Del Bosque believes he will leave the club a legend regardless of what happens this season, having won two La Liga titles, two Copa del Reys and a Champions League crown.

"Beyond the three titles which he can still win this season, Luis Enrique has already won so many titles that he will leave a permanent legacy," Del Bosque explained on RAC1.

"He's given such high levels of performance to the club as both a coach and a player. He leaves with a trail of glory.

"I watched Barcelona's comeback at home, I'm from the football world, I respect the game and I've been part of Spanish football.

“So I really enjoyed Barca's turnaround against PSG in the same way that I was disappointed that Sevilla couldn't get through (against Leicester).

"That's football. When (Edinson) Cavani scored it looked over, but football's emotional and sometimes illogical things happen and (Barca) were able to recover from that defeat in Paris.

"I'm not going to coach again, I'm feeling great and I'm not suffering from any nostalgia. When I left Real Madrid I already said that I would not train Barca or Atletico Madrid."
