Rakitic: Barca believe in miracles

Ivan Rakitic insists Barcelona believe “we can work a miracle” against Paris Saint-Germain after Saturday’s 5-0 demolition of Celta Vigo.

Barca put Celta to the sword in arguably their best performance for some time, and Rakitic is confident his side can draw inspiration from how they played when they try to overturn a 4-0 deficit in the Champions League on Wednesday.

“We’ll see what happens, we’re grateful to the fans, we’ll leave everything on the pitch from the first to the last minute, we’ll try and hopefully we can work a miracle, the midfielder said after the game.

“We’ve confided in the Coach since day one and not much has changed. It’s good to have peace around the Coach and club, but we believe in ourselves 100 percent.

“We played with an identity against a team that have always made life difficult for us with man-to-man marking.

“The most important thing is that we always look for solutions, as is movement. We had to change the way we passed the ball a bit in order to make things difficult for them.”
