Ramos hits back at Alves criticism

Real Madrid captain Sergio Ramos has responded to criticism from former Sevilla teammate Dani Alves and alluded to the full-back’s lack of loyalty.

The comments were in response to the Brazilian claiming Ramos ‘did not deserve the respect’ of the Andalucian club’s fans after he walked away from them to join Madrid, but the Spanish international claims Alves has no grounds himself to speak about loyalty.

"When these words come from a guy who loves Brazil one year, then the next he loves Sevilla and Spain, then Barcelona then again from Italy…I have nothing to say,” Ramos told the El Partidazo show on Cope.

The two were temporarily teammates at Estadio Sanchez Pizjuan prior to the current Madridista moving to the capital for a €27m fee in 2005, but swiftly became rivals as the current Juventus full-back moved to Camp Nou in 2008.
