Isco set for summer Madrid departure

Isco looks set to leave Real Madrid this summer with manager Zinedine Zidane admitting he does not know if the midfielder will remain at the club.

The 24-year-old has made only eleven La Liga starts for Los Blancos this campaign with reports in Marca stating the former Malaga star – whose contract at the Bernabeu expires in June 2018 – has decided to leave the club this summer.

"We cannot talk about what will happen in July. I do not know yet,” Zidane said at a news conference on Tuesday.

"We are focused on winning games now, and we will see what happens in the summer.

"There is no problem and [Isco] has said that too. He is very committed to what he is doing at the moment. He knows I like him as a player and count on him.

"If a player plays 25 games in a row then is left out for one, he won't be happy. I was the same."

Marca believes English duo Manchester City and Chelsea along with Italian champions Juventus also in the running.
