Xavi hints at Barca comeback

Former Barcelona star Xavi refused to rule Luis Enrique’s men out of making a remarkable second leg comeback against Paris Saint-Germain.

The Catalans crashed to a shock 4-0 defeat at the hands of the Parisians on Tuesday night at the Parc des Princes to leave them on the brink of an early exit from Europe’s premier club competition.

"In terms of intensity, pace of play, technical, tactical, physical and psychological level, [PSG] were above [Barcelona],” Xavi told French newspaper, L’Equipe.

"The credit for victory rests with the Parisians – they had one of the best matches in their history.

"Barcelona had hardly any chances; they hardly bothered [PSG keeper Kevin] Trapp. Barça were not at their usual level.

"I think Barcelona can upset PSG and, why not, make a comeback at home, but it will be difficult."
