Atletico Madrid midfielder Thomas Partey has signed a three-year contract extension at the club that will take him through to 2022.
The Ghanaian international has established himself as part of Diego Simeone’s squad following earlier loan spells at Real Mallorca and Almeria, going on to make 31 appearances for Los Rojiblancos.
"I am very happy with my new contract and grateful for the faith shown in me,” Partey said of the new contract.
"I have always been very fond of this club and I want to keep on developing at Atletico. I will give everything for this club."
The 23-year-old was part of the Ghana squad to finish fourth at this year’s African Cup of Nations.
