Sergio Busquets admits Barcelona were tactically inferior to Paris Saint-Germain after their 4-0 humbling in the Champions League last 16 on Tuesday.
Speaking to TV3 after the game, Busquets was adamant Barca’s problems at PSG stemmed from a failure in strategy as opposed to attitude and vowed his side would try to overturn their first-leg deficit in a fortnight.
“They were better than us for many phases of the game. Their tactical approach was better than ours,” lamented the midfielder.
“It’s not a question of attitude, but of football. They pressed more and were better tactically.
“They were able to devise a strategy and take it where they wanted it, although maybe the result is a bit too heavy. We imagined something else.
“We’ll try to come back at Camp Nou, although we know it’ll be very difficult.
“After what happened tonight, we didn’t give them the best reason to confide in us. It’s very difficult, I won’t lie, but we’ll try.”
