United agree Griezmann deal – reports

Atletico Madrid forward Antoine Griezmann will join Manchester United in the summer after agreeing personal terms, according to reports.

French TV station Canal Plus claim Griezmann has agreed personal terms with United, who are reportedly prepared to trigger the 25-year-old’s €100m release clause to complete the deal.

However, the report also stresses that the two club’s are yet to agree any fee, although as things stand the activation of the release clause would suffice in bringing the highly-coveted forward to Old Trafford.

Jose Mourinho is said to be keen to strengthen his attacking line-up in which Zlatan Ibrahimovic is the only player to thrive this season, with long-serving club captain Wayne Rooney linked with a move away from the club after becoming their all-time top goalscorer.

Griezmann has scored 72 goals in 136 appearances for Los Rojiblancos since moving to Madrid from Real Sociedad in the summer of 2014.
