Orellana only wanted Valencia

Fabian Orellana has revealed Valencia were the only club he wanted to join after leaving Celta Vigo at the end of the January transfer window.

The Chilean fell out with Celta boss Eduardo Berizzo who then stated the winger ‘would never play for the club again’ and being accused of disrespect, before he joined struggling Valencia.

"I want to thank Valencia for putting their faith in me,” the 31-year-old said at his press conference.

“I had many offers but as soon as I found out about Valencia's interest, coming here became a priority. The only thing I wanted was to come here.

“I have been given a tag as being conflictive but I am not like that with my friends. I know I can't get along with everybody.

What happened with Berizzo is now in the past and it should stay in Vigo.

“My favoured position? Any of the attacking positions – I really don't mind. I will settle into wherever the coach wants to field me.”
