Hull City announced the loan signing of Senegalese midfielder Alfred N'Diaye from Villarreal mere hours ahead of the January transfer window closing.
The 26-year-old made the €9m switch to El Madrigal from Real Betis last summer but struggled for gametime under new Villarreal boss Fran Escriba, making only one league start this season.
The deal, which is subject to international clearance, will see the former Sunderland player join relegation-battling Hull until the end of the current campaign.
N'Diaye made 16 Premier League appearances for Sunderland before spells at Eskisehirspor, Real Betis and Villarreal.
