Official: Pato completes move to China

Alexandre Pato has become the latest European-based player to move to the Chinese Super League as he joins Tianjin Quanjian from Villarreal.

The deal is reportedly in the region of €18m, ensuring the Yellow Submarine made a remarkable €15m profit on the striker they signed from Brazilian side Corinthians only six months previously.

The 27-year-old made nineteen appearances altogether for the Spanish club, scoring six goals – only two of which came in La Liga.

The former AC Milan and Chelsea striker tweeted he was "very happy to be part of the Tianjin Quanjian family”, where he links up with manager Fabio Cannavaro.
