Ruben Pardo had ‘no doubts’ about his decision to join Real Betis on loan from Real Sociedad for the remainder of the current campaign.
The 24-year-old former Spanish youth international has racked up 158 appearances for La Real and signed a new contract at the Basque club earlier this month, but completed a loan move to Los Verdiblancos after limited appearances this season.
“Betis were an option that I really liked since my agent first mentioned the idea, I had no doubts about making the move,” admitted Pardo at his introductory press conference.
“I was very impressed the times I played here with Real Sociedad, and I wanted to join this project. I see ambition and good players. I’ve been warmly welcomed and I’m very happy.
“I like Real Betis a lot. I’ve seen they’ve had a bit of everything: good games and bad games. I see a team with good assets in defence, midfield, and attacking line. I think we can make a good year.
“The chance of coming here came up and I think it can be really good for me. I’m focused on helping the team as much as I can and I think this move can help me grow.”
