Kone believes in Grana survival

Midfielder Panagiotis Kone believes his loan move to Granada will be a ‘challenge’ but his new side can avoid relegation from La Liga.

The Albanian-born Greek international joins the Nazaríes on loan from Italian side Udinese for the remainder of the campaign and is the club’s third summer arrival following the arrival of Icelandic defender Sverrir Ingi Ingason and a loan deal for Borussia Dortmund striker Adrian Ramos.

"I've found teammates here who are young but talented, I believe that together we will change the situation," said Kone, who also had spells at Italian clubs Brescia, Bologna and Fiorentina.

"I came because I know that this is a great club and due to the professionalism of those who work here. I want to challenge myself and improve.

"What matters is to show in the games that we merit our positions and from that deserve to get results.

"I can bring dynamism and personality. I have come to help in a difficult situation."
