Draw a ‘fair’ outcome – Koke

Atletico Madrid midfielder Koke believes his side’s 2-2 draw at San Mames on Sunday was a ‘fair’ outcome for both sides.

The 25-year-old gave Los Rojiblancos a third minute lead but goals either side of the break from Inigo Lekue and Oscar de Marcos put Ernesto Valverde’s side in front, before Antoine Griezmann rescued a point late on.

"It was a nice game, very intense, from both sides," Koke told BeIn Sports after the game.

"The draw was a fair result. We always want to win, it's never good to lose points. We were ahead in the game, in control, had chances to score more and we did not take advantage. They came back into it and a great goal from Antoine got us the draw."

The draw leaves Atletico in fourth place, six points off Barelona, while Athletic Bilbao remain seventh.
