Enrique: ‘A long way to go’

Luis Enrique says Barcelona are still a long way off the required level despite a 4-0 win at Eibar.

Goals by Denis Suarez, Lionel Messi, Luis Suarez and Neymar gave the Camp Nou side what was ultimately a comfortable victory, although the scoreline was perhaps harsh on the home team.

"The way the game started, during the first 20 or 25 minutes we weren't able to link up and that pressure from Eibar stopped us from playing out," Enrique admitted following victory in the Basque country.

"Overall we played a good match. You also have to give credit to our opponents.

"I was happy with what my team did. A good run of results makes everything flow more smoothly and the players have more confidence.

"We are still very far away from what we need in order to get to where we want."

One of the few negatives of Barca's evening was an injury suffered by midfielder Sergio Busquets, who had to be substituted after just five minutes after being caught by a heavy challenge from Eibar's Gonzalo Escalante.

However, Enrique does not believe the injury is as serious as initially feared and has faith in his squad to cope with any setbacks of the sort.

"We have players of a high quality. After seeing how Sergio injured himself, the best news is that it doesn't seem as serious as we expected.

"It will be a big problem but we have solutions and resources in order to cope with injuries."
