‘Parejo hard to replace’

Valencia Coach Salvador Gonzalez wants midfielder Dani Parejo to remain at the club, adding he would be hard to replace.

The 27-year-old has been linked with a move away from the Mestalla, amid rumours Los Che want to cash in on him in order to free up funds to sign other players.

However, speaking at a Press conference to preview tonight's match with Villarreal, Gonzalez admitted he is not keen on the idea of losing Parejo.

"He is a player who has characteristics that are difficult to find," 'Voro' told reporters.

"He has had good and bad moments in his performances but it is in line with the team.

"I value his capabilities and it is difficult to replace him."

Valencia have recently signed Simone Zaza on loan from West Ham United, with the Coach revealing the Italian could feature this evening.

"He is on the squad list. He has trained well but we are going to assess everything.

"He hasn't played in the last six months but he is going to contribute to us. We will assess him before the game, although I have a clear idea of what we are going to do."

Gonzalez then admitted his team face a difficult task if they are to take anything from their visit to El Madrigal, with Villarreal in the hunt for Champions League football.

"Everything concerns me. As well has not conceding much, they have offensive players.

"They play as a team, they all play in the same line. It will be complicated, they have played at a high level."
