Bakkali set for Porto switch

Valencia midfielder Zakaria Bakkali could be set for a move to FC Porto to be reunited with his former manager Nuno Espirito Santo, according to reports.

A Bola report that the Portuguese giants are in advanced talks with the Belgian international, who current Porto boss Nuno signed for Los Che in the summer of 2015.

Bakkali has only featured in eight Valencia matches this season, scoring once and the report suggests the player wants to gain more first-team football elsewhere and Valencia are open to a quick sale, as they attempt to reinforce their squad this month.

Nuno wants ‘magic’ in his attack and this has become more urgent as Yacine Brahimi departs for the African Cup of Nations with Algeria.

Valencia signed the 20-year-old from PSV on a free transfer 18 months ago and his since featured in 26 matches but despite the absence of a sporting director due to Jesus Garcia Pitarch leaving the club, a deal is expected to be concluded quickly.
