Barca & Madrid dominate FIFPro XI

Barcelona and Real Madrid dominate the 2016 FIFPro World XI, but Best Men’s Player nominee Antoine Griezmann is not included.

Bayern Munich goalkeeper Neuer is the only player who did not hail from Barca or Madrid last season as the back four is made up of Marcelo, Sergio Ramos, Gerard Pique and Dani Alves, the latter of whom left Camp Nou for Juventus before the start of 2016-17.

Luka Modric, Toni Kroos and Andres Iniesta form a three-man midfield, while last term’s Pichichi winner Luis Suarez partners Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi up top.

Suarez’s inclusion, however, means there is no place for Griezmann, despite the Atletico Madrid ace being in the three-man shortlist for The Best Men’s Player.
