Athletic Bilbao defender Yeray Alvarez will be incorporated back into the first-team squad and needs no further 'complimentary treatment' for cancer.
The 21-year-old underwent a successful operation at the end of last month after being diagnosed with testicular cancer and the Basque club released a statement on Thursday to confirm that recent medical tests and examinations have been 'positive' with no further cancer treatment required.
The statement continued that the defender's condition will continued to be monitored closely by medical professionals but that he will be 'incorporated back into the squad gradually over the coming weeks'.
Alvarez made his first-team debut for Athletic in September and has now made a total of 17 appearances, and has also been linked with a future move to Barcelona.
