Antoine Griezmann reiterates he is “happy” at Atletico Madrid and finds talk of ‘bigger clubs’ disrespectful to Los Colchoneros.
Griezmann continues to be linked with a lucrative move to England, while the likes of Paris Saint-Germain and Bayern Munich remain in the background, but the forward struggled to grasp why he was subjected to such speculation and not Cristiano Ronaldo, Lionel Messi or Gareth Bale.
“I’m very happy at Atletico, I’m proud to play for their fans, with these teammates and this Coach,” he told AS.
“I want to give back the trust and affection that the Atletico fans have always showed me. I want to score goals and make the fans happy.
“How long will I be at Atleti? I don’t like this question, I don’t like these kinds of questions about my future because players like Cristiano, Messi or Bale aren’t asked about what’s going to happen to them next year, where they’ll be or where they’ll play.
“I’m happy and enjoying myself at Atletico. Don’t ask me any more questions about my future.”
