Real Madrid President Florentino Perez has hailed his club as the world’s most “prestigious, admired and valuable”.
Madrid won the Champions League, European Super Cup and Club World Cup in 2016, confirming a remarkable turnaround that saw the side in apparent disarray at the start of the year, with Rafa Benitez sacked and replaced by then-rookie Zinedine Zidane.
“First of all, I hope we have the health to enjoy [the holidays] in the company of our loved ones,” Perez said in a video message.
“Secondly, I wish all madridistas the best for this season, so together we can work for this very nice feeling, which is ‘madridismo’, and that this club remain the most prestigious, admired and valuable.”
Zidane added: “I want to wish everyone a happy holiday and that they have a good time with their families.
Concluding Los Blancos’ sentiments was Ramos, who had a message for the little ones.
“May the Kings behave very well with all of you!”
