China move for Cesc?

Cesc Fabregas is the latest European-based player to be linked with a big money move to the Chinese Super League, according to reports.

Guangzhou Evergrande are willing to offer €50m for the Chelsea midfielder – who’s teammate Oscar is set to move to the league a year after Ramires also made the journey from Stamford Bridge to China – according to a report in the Daily Mail.

Mundo Deportivo claim Cesc is happy at Chelsea despite not being a regular starter under boss Antonio Conte this season, but he has still played a significant role this season including Wednesday night’s winning goal at Sunderland.

Neither report makes it clear if The London-based club would accept any offer for the 29-year-old, although their willingness to accept other offers from Chinese clubs for players in their prime indicates they may consider a bid.

Guangzhou’s squad already includes former Atletico Madrid striker Jackson Martinez and Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Paulinho.
