RM target AIK striker Isak

Real Madrid are stepping up their pursuit of AIK Solna striker Alexander Isak and have reportedly spoken to the player and his representatives.

Reports from Scandinavia in October suggested both Los Blancos and Barcelona were keen on capturing the 17-year-old (http://www.football-espana.net/61275/barca-rm-chase-swede) however Marca now reports that talks have now taken place, despite Madrid currently serving a FIFA transfer ban until January 2018.

Isak has bagged ten goals in 24 appearances for the Swedish club this season and has been dubbed 'the new Ibrahimovic' due to his tall frame and like the current Manchester United striker, he was raised in Sweden despite parents coming from abroad (Eritrea).

Bayern Munich, PSG, Barcelona, Juventus, Chelsea, Liverpool and Leicester are among the clubs who have scouted the highly-rated forward, but Marca believes the Champions League holders are confident of agreeing a deal which will bring him to the Bernabeu, despite not referencing the transfer ban which would make any move impossible before 2018, although a temporary loan deal back to the Solna-based club would be feasible.

Expressen state AIK rejected a €10.8m offer from Madrid, who not only are confident the transfer ban will be overturned on appeal but believe they can persuade the striker by pointing to the integration of youth players into the first-team squad at the Bernabeu under Zinedine Zidane.
