Samuel Umtiti has described how Lionel Messi runs around his Barcelona teammates in training sessions like they are just ‘cones’.
The French defender joined the Catalan club in the summer from Lyon and he has stated how quickly he has come to learn just how good the Argentine superstar is.
"He has so much ease on the ball. His talent is innate although he works a lot," Umtiti told France Football.
"In training he does things that are out of the norm. Sometimes he dribbles past everyone as if we were nothing more than cones, including me."
The 23-year-old has made ten appearances since moving to the Camp Nou and has recovered from a hamstring injury to be part of the Blaugrana’s squad for their Copa Del Rey clash with Hercules on Wednesday.
