Line-ups: Barca-Malaga

Lionel Messi and Luis Suarez are absent for Barcelona in La Liga this afternoon against a similarly-depleted Malaga.

Messi pulled out an hour before kick-off due to a sudden bout of vomiting, while Suarez must sit out a one-match ban for accumulating five yellow cards. Their places are taken by Arda Turan and Paco Alcacer respectively.

Elsewhere, injury to Samuel Umtiti allows Gerard Pique to slot back into Barca’s back four, the central defender having recovered from an ankle problem, Ivan Rakitic is rested for Rafinha and B starlets Carles Alena and Marlon are substitutes.

Malaga are also struggling with personnel as Zdravko Kuzmanovic, Charles, Recio, Keko and Weligton are all sidelined and midfield general Ignacio Camacho is suspended.

Nonetheless, the Andalusians travel to Camp Nou on the back of three wins in their last five and are spearheaded by former Barca striker Sandro Ramirez, who already has five goals to his name.
