Morata out for a month

Real Madrid striker Alvaro Morata is expected to miss a month of action after pulling a muscle in Spain's draw with England on Tuesday.

The 24-year-old will miss Saturday's Madrid derby and El Clasico in just over a fortnight's time – the striker had come on for the final 26 minutes of the clash at Wembley despite being withdrawn three days earlier against Macedonia after picking up a knock to his right leg.

"After tests carried out on our player Alvaro Morata at the Sanitas La Moraleja University Hospital prior to the training session held today, Wednesday, he has been diagnosed with a grade 2 muscle injury in his right hamstring. His recovery will continue to be assessed," a Los Blancos statement read

Zinedine Zidane also has confirms over the fitness of Gareth Bale, Karim Benzema, Casemiro and Mateo Kovacic ahead of Saturday's derby against Atletico, although Sergio Ramos and Luka Modric are expected to start after recovering from knee problems.
