Deportivo La Coruna defender Luisinho has hit out at former coach Victor Sanchez del Amo and described him as 'lucky' for landing another coaching role.
Sanchez has been appointed manager at Real Betis after leaving Deportivo in May - and a brief spell at Olympiakos, managing only for two matches - but had several public spats with the Portuguese defender last season.
"He was lucky to get another club," said the 31-year-old former Benfica defender at a press conference on Monday.
"It is good news for us though, Betis are a direct rival for us in the league and now they will have to work hard not to get relegated to the Segunda."
Sanchez managed Depor for 50 matches before being dismissed in May this year after guiding his side to 15th, and previously hinted last year that 'Luisinho went as far as threatening me after I dropped him from the squad."
