Poyet ‘calm’ on job future

Gus Poyet has reiterated that he is not concerned by rumours regarding his future at Betis, after 2-0 Sunday's loss at Villarreal.

The defeat saw Los Verdiblancos slip to 14th in the standings with only three wins from eleven games, and having already lost six times.

"It does not worry me, as having a job depends on more than just me," explained the Uruguayan after the defeat.

"I try not to get in trouble after games and not to get carried away by any emotions – I like to sit and analyse the situation, and that's why I am calm.

"As a coach I have tried to find the best balance of the team between attack and defense, but against Villarreal we were short in attacking areas and that is worrisome.

"We did not play well and the performance was not the one we had planned for."

Villarreal moved up to third with the victory, after goals from Manuel Trigueros and Roberto Soriano.
