Cesare Prandelli is remaining silent on rumours linking Barcelona with a January swoop for Joao Cancelo as Valencia “aren’t thinking about the market”.
Links between Cancelo and Barca have resurfaced in recent weeks following Aleix Vidal’s struggles, leaving converted midfielder Sergi Roberto as the Catalans’ only recognised right-back, but Prandelli refused to comment on the speculation.
“Cancelo? We have great players. I won’t comment on the transfer market,” the Coach said at a Press conference ahead of Sunday’s match against Celta Vigo in La Liga.
“His departure in January? No. These are things that we must talk to the club about. We’re not thinking about the market.
“Our left side? Siqueira’s still recovering, so Montoya’s option at this time.
“Celta? They’re a well-organised team, very aggressive and very dynamic, but we’re facing the game in good spirits and a good way physically. We’re prepared for this game.”
