Gaizka Garitano admits Deportivo La Coruna “need a good game away from home” ahead of Saturday’s trip to fellow strugglers Granada.
Depor have yet to win on the road in La Liga this season and have shipped four goals in each of their last two away trips, and Garitano was under no illusions as to the importance of his side improving in the aforementioned regard.
“We’ll play against a team that are in a slightly worse situation than us and we’ll try to win,” the Coach said at a Press conference.
“They have players with a lot of potential and who in the future will be very good. They’ve been loaned from big teams.
“We have more points, but our need is the same [as theirs]. We resumed our improvement in our last game and now we must rubberstamp it.
“We need a good game away from home, neither have we seen the best Depor that we want to see at home.
“Marlos Moreno? He is hardworking and gives us width and depth. There have been games in which we’ve had to play with our wide men inside.
“Now we don’t and the idea is to continue on this line. Our performances away from home are key to us picking up more points.”
