Ter Stegen joy at Bravo move

Barcelona goalkeeper Marc-Andre Ter Stegen believes spending another season competing with Claudio Bravo ‘would have been difficult’.

Bravo joined Manchester City this summer after two seasons of the two vying for the number one shirt at Camp Nou, and the German goalkeeper believes his move was the best option for both of them.

"It would have been difficult to continue on for another year with Bravo," the 24-year-old told radio program Tu Diras.

"Him moving on was perhaps what was best for the two of us.

"The relationship between us has always been a good one, very professional and loyal."

Asked about his recent errors, Ter Stegen insisted it was important not to dwell on them and instead learning from the experiences for future.

"Against Celta at the Estadio Balaidos, I took too big a risk- it wasn't necessary – but you learn from these moments," he continued.

"As for the goal against City which De Bruyne scored, there were a lot of players blocking my vision.

"He shoots the ball very well and though I'm mad about it, I have to continue improving.

"City killed us on the counter-attack and we were weren’t able to respond."
