Prandelli unhappy at Valencia display

Valencia boss Cesare Prandelli was unhappy with his team’s display at Deportivo la Coruna on Monday night despite taking a point in a 1-1 draw.

Emre Colak’s header gave Depor the lead on the stroke of half-time but Rodrigo conjured up a superb strike to equalise for Los Che 10 minutes after the break.

However, Prandelli felt his players had taken a backward step compared to previous games and showed his indignation at the post-match Press conference.

“It was a very difficult, intense and aggressive game and we got things wrong bringing the ball out from the back,” the Italian Coach told reporters.

“We should have been aggressive, like them, not build from the back but play in their half of the pitch all the time, so we suffered greatly in the first half.

“Right now the first thing the players must think of is winning the ball back, recovering it, and building the play gradually.

“We must do that with aggression and control. Today I am not happy because we’ve taken a step back in relation to other games.”
