Inaki Williams rules out move

Spain forward Inaki Williams has ruled out a move to Liverpool as he wishes to remain at Athletic Bilbao ‘for many years’.

Reports in both the Spanish and British press had linked the Premier League side with a move for the 22-year-old, who made his debut for the Basque side in 2014 and won his first cap for Spain in May, but he has declared himself happy at his current club.

"I'm happy at Athletic, it's where I want to be," Williams confessed to AS.

"I'm very grateful to the fans, to the club and to my teammates. I want to continue here for many years."

"I want to be Athletic's future No. 9," Williams said, "the player who raises the roof at San Mames every week and scores lot of goals.

"I've always considered myself a forward, I feel comfortable playing in that position and being close to the goal."
