Ramos rejects exit talk

Malaga boss Juande Ramos has rubbished “surprising” and “dramatic” suggestions that Sunday’s game against Leganes in La Liga could be his last.

Ramos’ position has been placed under threat after just two wins from Malaga’s first eight League games, leaving the side just a point above the relegation places going into the visit of Leganes.

However, the Coach said at a Press conference: “I see no special significance about a midtable match in the ninth round, so I find talk of it being a final surprising.

“We’re creating a drama that I don’t see anywhere. We’ve been able to recover [going down] many times and we have the mentality to turn around the scoreline.

“Leganes are a team that have ambition, are organised and, like all newly-promoted sides, committed to staying up for their fans.

“They’re a good, counterattacking team who are aggressive and do many things right.
