Vallejo enjoying Frankfurt loan

Jesus Vallejo has revealed he is loving his spell at Eintracht Frankfurt, having joined the German club on a season-long loan deal from Real Madrid.

The 19-year-old has made seven appearances for the Bundesliga side this campaign after his loan move from Madrid – for whom he has yet to make a senior appearance.

“Real Madrid recommended [Frankfurt] and I delightfully agreed," Vallejo revealed in Marca.

"In the second game, against Darmstadt, I replaced Varela in the seventh minute and have played every game since then,"

"It was a decision (to join the club) taken by all three parties – myself, Madrid and Frankfurt.

"It was strange at first because I am Zaragocista and I had never played with another team, let alone abroad – in the end I decided [to go to Frankfurt] and I do not regret anything."

Vallejo joined Real Madrid from Real Zaragoza last summer before re-joining the Segunda side on loan, and is rated very highly as a future star.

"Playing against players of that ability in Germany gives you extra motivation," he continued.

"We played very well and pressed them high up the pitch.

"The coach [of Frankfurt], Niko Kovac, is demanding but close to us players. The atmosphere in the dressing room is very good."
