Barcelona will travel to Qatar to take on Al-Ahli in a friendly match on 13 December, due to their agreement with Qatar Airways.
The fixture is sandwiched in-between La Liga fixtures against Osasuna (11 December) and Espanyol (16 December) but the sponsorship of the Gulf Airline ensures that the fixture must go ahead.
The match had originally been scheduled for May but was cancelled due to clashing with a number of local games, while the deal reportedly ensured that the match had to take place in this calendar year.
The Saudi club won the country’s senior league last season and are managed by former Tottenham, Basel and Stuttgart coach Christian Gross, with Brazilian Luiz Carlos one of four non-Saudi players.
Barca start December with matches against Real Madrid and Borussia Monchengladbach before taking on Osasuna and their Catalan derby with Espanyol.
