Lucho: Lucky there’s only one Pep!

Luis Enrique admits he is “lucky that there’s only Pep Guardiola” as the Coach left him “tired” after Barcelona’s 4-0 victory over Manchester City.

Lionel Messi’s hat-trick and a late Neymar finish powered Barca past City, the latter of whom are managed by the Catalans’ former boss and Enrique’s ex-Blaugrana teammate Guardiola.

“It’s clear that Messi is the best player in the world,” the Asturian said after Wednesday’s Champions League clash.

“He’s the total definition of what football means. Doubting Leo is simply naive. He’s back to his more decisive self.

“He was involved in all the most important moves of the match. And [jokingly] he became nervous when he was given a gift for his first goal!

“That’s what happens when you give him one centimetre to our most dangerous player.

“Umtiti? He has what it takes to play for Barcelona, who always sign the best. Mascherano at right-back? He was spectacular.

“Injuries? Well, it’s the bad news of the match because injuries are always unpleasant when they arrive.

“The truth is that a lot happened, and it wasn’t all good. Goals, injuries, red cards and two teams seeking the same [result].

“In any case, it’s a big result that gives us strength, although they’re only three points.

“The truth is that I’m pretty tired, not only because of everything that happened on the pitch but also for the hours we’ve devoted to preparing for this match.

“Luckily, there’s only one Guardiola. If there were five more in the Champions League or the League, it would be extremely tough. Now I’m only thinking about resting and sleeping.”
